Which ESPN plan are you actually canceling?

ESPN launched its full streaming service on August 21, 2025 and kept the old product alive under a new name. The FAQ's "Is ESPN+ going away?" entry answers: "No. Existing ESPN+ subscribers will remain subscribers of the ESPN Select plan and continue to enjoy access to all ESPN+ content."

What does the August 2026 price increase change?

As of September 2026, ESPN's plans page (updated August 25, 2026) lists Select at $13.99 a month or $139.99 a year and Unlimited at $31.99 a month or $319.99 a year, both raised in an August 2026 increase announced in late August, per press.

Longtime subscribers got a grace window with a hard edge. The plans page: "Anyone who subscribed prior to August 20, 2026, will retain that price until their first billing date after September 17, 2026." In plain terms, the first bill after September 17 arrives at the new price.

Worth knowing

If you subscribed before August 20, 2026, your old price survives only until your first billing date after September 17, 2026. That bill is a cancel-or-accept moment: decide before your cycle turns, not after the charge lands.

How do you cancel ESPN on the web?

ESPN's own steps, from its cancel article (updated June 25, 2026), for when ESPN bills you directly:

What about the Disney bundles and Fox One?
